What is the purpose of Life

The Purpose of Life Series Coming Soon -10/27/2009

Many people live their lives with out knowing what their purpose is. They grow up, start working, get married, have a family and die without knowing why they are here in the first place. I knew back in High School there was more to life than getting good grades, working, than having a family and dying. I would look up into the starry sky and ask Why am I here, what is the purpose to all this?

The fact is, God has made it clear through his word what the purpose of life is and if we fulfill this purpose, we will be filled with joy, peace, and happiness and best of all God himself! When you see from the word of God what the purpose of life is, you realize anyone can fulfill their purpose and experience God's joy, righteouesness, and peace.

That they might know thee - 10/24/2009

In the true Lord's prayer (John 17), Jesus is praying to the Holy Father and he says something in the third verse, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. How about that? Isn't that a blessing? You know what the Biblical definition of eternal life is? It is knowing God.

Sure eternal life has to do with not dying and living for ever, I understand that, but living for ever without knowing God is a horrible thing. That is why God did not allow Adam and Eve to eat of the tree of life after they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3:22-24). He didn't want man to live for ever in that condition, because it is a horrible condition - not knowing your Creator. When they sinned in the garden, they died that day - they lost the Holy Ghost.

When the Lord offers man eternal life, he is offering himself to that man. He is saying, do you want to know me? Hallelujah! Eternal life is given to a man that repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. At that moment Eternal Life enters into that man and makes his abode with him. The Holy Ghost enters into that man and joins to his spirit and quickens it. That is what is called being born again. Being born again is of the Spirit. When someone is born again, they now have access to the Father through the Mediator Jesus Christ and they can communicate and have fellowship one with the other! Praise the LORD!

The question I ask you is do you know him? Does he know you personally? Do you want to know him? If I know anything about the LORD, it is that he wants to be known of his creation. He came and died and rose again that we might know him and experience the fullness of his prescence and love. As the scripture says, Whosoever will let him come! Whoever is athirst come and drink the water of life freely! I tell you the truth, there is nothing better than knowing the Creator and fellowshiping with him!

Site Updated - 10/3/2009

I just finished updating the entire site. This was done to ensure better cross-browser support. This site is best viewed with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

We just started studying the book of Romans this past Thursday and I have uploaded my notes of that study as well as the audio. We will continue, Lord-willing, next Thursday in Romans 1. Also I have updated the prayer requests as well. Remember to pray for each other.

Changes to the site
There will no longer be a discussion forum hosted on this site. It tended to only attract people that didn't believe the Bible and that had nothing better to do than argue with people they don't know. The forum was never intended to be a place for arguing with heretics. It was created for those who with a pure and honest heart had serious questions about the Bible.

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
