After a break for about a month, Bible study started back up this Thursday. We studied what pleases God. The word of God says in Revelation 4:11 that the whole purpose for God creating the heaven, the earth, and man was for his pleasure. We were created for his pleasure.

The promise of a future Redeemer that would be born into this world starts in Genesis 3 and ends in Luke 2 with the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
God made a promise from the very beginning to redeem mankind. He said the seed of the woman would be at enmity with the seed of the serpent and that the woman's seed would bruise his head and the serpent's seed would bruise it's heel. This seed of the woman is a reference to the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was foreordained of God to bruise the head of the Serpent, Satan.
